ThePeopleAlchemist Edit: welcome to Utopia because the world can be a better place - we need to start now!
Is a world without stereotypes, transcending bias possible - welcome to Utopia. But, what does it take to be truly inclusive and accepting? What does it take to be truly accepting of everyone from abled bodies to every dis-abled ones, from the youngest to the oldest, from the 'white, black and every colour, race, background in-between', to the different sexual orientations and sexuality and LGBT? Is that even possible?A WORLD WITHOUT BIAS
'We all have a bias of one type or another coming from cultural/societal, religious and family paradigms: society is made of tribal congregations all with their individual, sometimes divergent and sometimes mutually supportive views of what ...different people represent'. However, human beings throughout history have overcome obstacles that seemed insurmountable to achieve their dreams/justice or whatever it is they wanted during times when (even) laws were against them? Did this stop them? Of course not! ( from STOP IT! It's all in your head).
We start thinking that total acceptance of diversity (whatever it might happen to be) and inclusion are possible. After all, we say so because we want to make it so. And we won't accept anything different. A commitment is needed, though, and this journey commences with every one of us taking ownership. Starting with ourselves. Every day, with each choice and interaction we make and behaviours we accept around us. Start now - we can change the world! I think I can, or at least I am willing to try: what about you?
