"The Most Courageous Act Is Still To Think For Yourself. Aloud" - Coco Chanel. It Is Easy To Get Lost In The Fast Fashion Crowd -Don't! At All Times Look The Part, But #BeYourself, Always! September is here and with it the month-long full of #fashionweeks from New York to London, Milan to Paris. A whirlwind of beautiful shows, glamour and pieces that will then grace our high streets in more affordable 'clones' of the designers' originals. And then it starts all over again next season with more latest trends. Short skirts, long skirts, kitten heels, square heels.... blah blah.... 90s revival... 80s revival... blah blah blah.

BE YOURSELF - ALWAYS

Don't get me wrong, looking the part is important. I wrote about it in my blog 'What is the power of first impressions?' and in my book STOP IT! It's all in your head - Chapter 9 Look The Part. I love fashion and some experimentation but I also strongly believe in individuality, in being your own unique special self and adapt the different trends, colour palettes to your own personal style, personality (if they fit that is). Understanding who you are, your own unique self and best characteristics to be enhanced with clothes and makeup and being an original is much better than wearing what everyone else is (albeit sooooo in fashion right now). Think about the you you want to be and the position/s you are aiming at (in your career): what style can help you to project this and looks good on you (body type-colouring-best features etc.) whilst being congruent and authentic with your personality AND putting your best foot forward? Additionally thinking about sustainability, fast fashion - constantly buying new clothes is not exactly great for the planet either (I guess I've just killed the opportunity of any future collaborations with fashion brands here). Define your style, don't be a #fashionvictim - #LookThePart but Think For Yourself, Aloud like Chanel said. The most courageous act. #youcreateyourownreality #lifestyledesign #lifestyleedit #followme #like #share Business & Lifestyle Experimentation Blog for #TheWomanAlchemist #SmashYourCeiling #FashionFriday
