Hello again. I had a lot of DMs yesterday in response to the blog; what's important to remember first and foremost is that you are not alone Yes, emotions can induce physical pain, especially in cases where trauma occurs. I hear you.

YOU ARE NOT ALONE

Trauma seems like a big word but is far more common than people think. From a major life event like losing a loved one, or a break-up to constant micro-aggression it all adds up. And it can impact your health and your body. Recognising it is happening is a good start. Acknowledging what you are going through is the next step. Then realise that it is possible to get to grips with it. Mind and physiology are intimately connected. So, in the same way, you can elevate your mood by moving, your mood can affect your physiology. Thinking positively, you can take yourself out of any state. At any time. With the proper focus and support. Help is just a phone call away ( or email). The important thing is to recognise 1) you need help; 2) actually look for it. A very good article on how to take care of yourself in these situations if you go for the DIY option is How to Handle a Stress-Related Psychosomatic Illness by Elizabeth Scott, PhD, medically reviewed by Amy Morin, LCSW. Take care of yourself, have a lovely weekend and see you on Monday x #BeYourBestSelf #YouAreNotAlone
