Take that pen out

Hello everyone, and welcome back! I hope that you’re smashing your ceilings and living your best life! For today, I want us to do an exercise. Yes, that’s right. So you won’t just be reading my blog post and taking a lesson from it, but you’ll be part of my entire inner circle in writing something life-changing to someone truly special. If you haven’t guessed who that person is, then look in a mirror, stare at your reflection - know that I am speaking about you. Yes, you! The exercise for today may seem simple enough, but I promise you, the effects are long-lasting. Before you begin, please remember what I said about multitasking here, so be sure to do this task without any distractions at all. As you know, this month’s theme is about living your life to the fullest extent, and while this isn’t always easy, you’ve had a taste of what that kind of life should be for you. And this is the life you should be chasing, not just in this month, but every day of your life. So, let’s begin with this important writing work.

Dear Future Self

As the title here suggests, today you’ll write a letter to your future self. Now if you've been here before, you'll remember that there was a similar exercise before, but as i always say, to master anything repetition is key. So, in your letter, I want you to open up, be honest, and tell your future self about your current life. Speak of the ups and the downs, the quick wins and the lifetime achievements. Tell the story of your life, and because you’re speaking to yourself here, you can be blunt, you can be raw, and most importantly, you can be real. Writing has many benefits, some of which you can read here, from simply getting our thoughts out of our heads and onto our papers or screens, we can then begin to look at those thoughts and feelings objectively. We can see patterns, direction, and where change is needed. So while this letter is necessary for you to live your life to the fullest, it is also an opportunity for you to see where you’re not living up to that goal and where you need to improve. Once that letter is complete, seal it and put it somewhere safe for you to revisit in a year. It will also be a great marker for how much your life has changed since writing it. It’s a win-win, so what are you waiting for? Grab that pen, and let’s begin. Chat soon x
