Who's your lover then? No, I'm not nosey here. We talked yesterday about your mirror reflecting at you your family and paradigms in this respect. Today is the turn of your boyfriend/girlfriend/husband/wife/lover/partner/significant other or whatever you'd like to call it. Self-image impacts our love life, too, I'm afraid. So when I said it affects E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G in our world, I meant it. Now again, you might be madly in love right now and blissfully happy (lucky you, happy for you); in this case, don't you want to know the paradigms that impact how you are in a relationship so you can avoid sc***ing it up are? If you are not in a relationship, you have some time to find out more about yourself and work on yourself to attract the best partner and relationship possible. Ready?

WHO'S YOUR LOVER?

We have looked so far at body image, money, career and family. By now, you should have a clearer picture of the box you are "boxed in" right now that affects your results. Pardon the pun.

Think now about your past experiences, failures and successes when it comes to relationships. Think also about your parents and their relationship. Did they have one in the first place? How was your mother in this relationship, or didn't have any relationships and solely dedicated her time to her children? What about your father and his behaviour? All these components form the image you (me, everybody) have of romantic relationships. Perhaps you are trying to emulate your parents' relationship or, you vowed never to repeat their mistakes. Or you managed to sabotage every relationship you've ever had (I know something about this personally)? Look at the patterns and the picture they draw. What is your relationship (or lack of it/past relationships) reflecting on you? Yes, that's right, time for some freewriting. Write down everything that comes to mind, unadulterated. Uncensored. I think I gave enough prompts already today ;-) See you tomorrow x

USEFUL READING

"Psycho-Cybernetics" by Maxwell Maltz. Psycho-Cybernetics is a terminology originally coined by Dr Maxwell Maltz in the 1960s, further explained in this bestselling book. Here, Maltz explains that our self-image controls our ability or inability to achieve any goal. In this book, you can find techniques for improving and managing self-image visualization, mental rehearsal and relaxation - a prescription for thinking and actions leading to quantifiable results—one of my 4 books of the month. Available on Amazon. Change starts from within; that’s why training your consciousness should be your Priority Numero 1 – a daily practice to silence your inner critic.
