As we move into the weekend, it is time for some rest, relaxation and some reflection: what is "boxing you in"? So, if as we discussed yesterday, Self-image, our own perception of self, is our own portable self-limiting box, we need then first really understand exactly what is this image that we hold. Take time this weekend and look around your results:
  • do you have the body you want?
  • or the relationship you want?
  • is your career or your business where you'd like them to be?
  • what about money? have you hit your ceiling there?
All these are manifestations of what we think of ourselves. Of how far we think we can go. Of how much we think we deserve to have/be. E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G in our world (career, body, relationships) reflect our mental attitude toward ourselves.

SO, WHAT IS BOXING YOU IN?

Take some time this weekend to think about this besides, of course, resting, relaxing and having some fun.

Think about your past experiences, failures and successes. Your parents' failures and successes. Which views of the world you have are a direct correlation to theirs? Write down everything that comes to mind, unadulterated. Uncensored. Think about the times when you reach new heights but then managed to go backwards. What happened there? Perhaps you can do this in your morning pages ( I hope you are still doing them as part of your weekend routine). Dump the c*** on a page and then let it go. For now. Enjoy the weekend, rest, relax and have some fun and we'll talk about it on Monday x

USEFUL READING

"Psycho-Cybernetics" by Maxwell Maltz. Psycho-Cybernetics is a terminology originally coined by Dr Maxwell Maltz in the 1960s, further explained in this bestselling book. Here, Maltz explains that our self-image controls our ability or inability to achieve any goal. In this book, you can find techniques for improving and managing self-image visualization, mental rehearsal and relaxation - a prescription for thinking and actions leading to quantifiable results—one of my 4 books of the month. Available on Amazon. Change starts from within; that’s why training your consciousness should be your Priority Numero 1 – a daily practice to silence your inner critic.
