Hello and welcome, so happy you are back: ready to learn how to wield the power of resilience? Over the last few weeks, we explored transforming your self-image by telling your story to unlock, ignite and transform your life and take it to a new level. Can you feel the shift in your self-image yet? A new story is taking shape. Starting to understand that everyone and everything in our lives reflects our self-worth can be a mental transition that takes time. We already know that to change the "outside," we need to change the "inside," but what key inner abilities can we harness to bring about this change? Well, I think we can all agree, after having survived a pandemic, resilience is not something we'll be taking for granted any time soon.Resilience Lives Within You
Resilience is how we navigate through adversity, effectively adapting to change in order to thrive. It certainly feels like we've been doing our fair share of adapting since COVID-19 came into our lives. Curveballs are part of our daily itinerary at this point. Tony Robbins once said, "change is inevitable, progress is optional," and I couldn't agree more. How we deal with change ultimately determines how resilient we become. Life is a complicated puzzle, but all the pieces do fit together. You are in the driver's seat of your life, and the destination is always changed.Be Present in The Face of Change
In times of change, we can be distracted by the future, worried about what it may hold or what obstacles it could bring. To bring yourself back to the present moment and get in tune with your body, you need to pay attention to how your body responds to stress. Start setting aside time each day to relax, take some deep breaths, and bring your focus back to the present."The human capacity for burden is like bamboo - far more flexible than you'd ever believe at first glance." ― Jodi Picoult, My Sister's Keeper.By learning to cope with change, you lower your risk of anxiety and depression. Your relationships can flourish, and your body will feel healthier. Not coping with change can allow a small amount of stress to overwhelm you. Take the first step toward creating a more resilient you. Set aside time for yourself and bring yourself back to the present moment. Happy practicing the power of resilience. Embrace the change and enjoy the journey. See you soon x
