Hello there, and a very Happy Friday to you. I want to round up our talk on kicking bad habits and finish the week by discussing the last bastion of bad habits: shopping.

SHOPPING DOESN'T BUY YOU HAPPINESS

Yes, that's right: shopping. Now shopping in itself is neither inherently good nor bad. Sometimes it is a necessity; sometimes, it is a gift or reward. It becomes a bad habit when we use it as means to gain happiness. To fill a void. We use a lot of energy chasing things we think will make us happy, e.g. things as a bastion of success, money, that we have arrived. But the reality is they never do. I'm not here preaching or sprouting out the usual cliche "money doesn't buy happiness". Hey, between being miserable without money or being miserable with money, I certainly prefer the latter. What I am saying is that these coveted previous things won't fill the void ( if there is one) inside. They will give an instant rush and gratification and then, puff, You are back to nom

LIVE YOUR LIFE FULLY

Focus instead on what you can control. Guess what? You can control what you are thinking. And select what to focus on. You have total control. Focus on what serves you. Deselect everything else.
