ThePeopleAlchemist Edit: the Law of Attraction and the unlocking key - shameless gratitude and unabashed joy

Today is the last day of my 30-Day Experiment In Shameless Gratitude and Unabashed Joy, following the book Thank & Grow Rich By Pam Grout. If you have been reading my blog, you must know by now that:
  1. I am a BIG fan of Pam Grout and her books
  2. Indeed I have read both E-Squared + E-Cubed and carried out all the experiments to prove the Law of Attraction works (and it does)
  3. I don't just read books - I digest them, assimilate them, experiment with them. And I did the same with Thank And Grow Rich to raise my energy/attraction levels to the next level.

THANK AND GROW RICH - SHAMELESS GRATITUDE

The premise for the book is simple, a gratitude regime with two daily easy steps :
  1. First thing every morning, before doing anything at all, even coffee, that's right, EVEN before coffee, affirm with gusto: 'Something amazingly awesome is going to happen to me today. So the first few minutes of every day you see pre-pave the next 24 hours with expectations says, Grout.
  2. Believe in blessing and miracles and LOOK for them, DAILY. Text/tweet or record three blessings (some awesomeness in practice) to ensure this happens every day.
Saying THE phrase (something amazingly awesome is going to happen to me today) and then recognising every day three new blessings (I journalised them) seems unimportant and simplistic. Still, I can honestly say it changed how I felt in the morning and how I approached the days. There are lots of what Grout calls Party Games, but they are peripheral to the main point - gratitude and believing in miracles is the secret - that's it! I looked back at my approach: don't get me wrong, I enjoyed both books and the experiments - they were fun and helped me on my path. However, in my quest to make things happen, I was regimented with a schedule that missed the point.

WHAT'S THE POINT

The point is gratitude, unabashed gratitude for the immense beauty that is all around us/me, for all the things I already have, for all the things I have been able to do, for all the beautiful people already in my life, for the sun shining every day, for waking up every day alive and healthy, for life.... and on.... and on.... and on... The point is to raise the vibration and let the universe do its magic. Life is meant to be fun and easy once you get into the flow. At the end of the book, I thought Grout spoke directly to me when she said: ' You don't need another book, another seminar, another practice. You got this! It's etched into your DNA.' 'We Did Not Come All This Great Distance, And Make All This Great Effort, Only To Miss The Party' -Elizabeth Gilbert. 'You Better Have Fun. Because You're Going To Be Gone In A Minute' - Jamie Foxx. And so I raise my hand and proclaim: "I hereby acknowledge that I am here on planet Earth to extend love ... that I'm here at this unique time-space reality to create the good, the holy, and the beautiful. And I commit to living this sacred Truth from this moment forward". And if this sounds a bit Pollyanish, who cares? Gratitude and Joy are the keys. #followme #like #share #youcreateyourownreality #takechargeofyourlife #smashyourceiling
