Hello everyone! Welcome back. I do hope you’ve had a smashing weekend! Coming to the end of this month leaves one feeling as if there’s too little time to do everything that we’ve planned. And of course, I have stressed the importance of journaling, making lists, and ensuring that you also take time to nurture self-love through self-care. This is the perfect time to test one’s self-resilience. The question is, did you take advantage of this opportunity?

October and self-resilience

In our beginner’s guide to self-resilience, we looked at the various components of resilience transformation. Since October is a month packed full of awareness campaigns such as Breast Cancer Awareness, Black History Month, and Gender Awareness Month, we can find meaning or even purpose to life by dedicating some of our time to any one of them. That is one step towards building resilience because we commit to something greater than ourselves. As said in our previous post, breast cancer awareness begins with something as small as wearing pink. It then snowballs into charities, research, and much more. Charity, in every way and form, again, builds self-resilience. In our support for these great causes, we achieve some level of optimism. We believe that we will have a better tomorrow – and that, yes, you guessed it, leads to resilience building. So, whether it is through belief, social support, facing fears, or even taking up the mantle of being a role model; October does indeed provide the perfect opportunity to put in practice the lessons of self-resilience. And it is up to us to take this opportunity to reach for the stars, smash that ceiling, and be our best selves. Unlock, ignite and transform yourself! Until next time x
