Welcome back to our journey through Rev. Ike's Science of Living series. Today, we're focusing on Chapter 33: "Feed Your Mind Right Ideas."

The Science of Living Study Guide by Rev. Ike - Reminder

The Science Of Living book provides a comprehensive guide on HOW TO achieve your best life with practical advice on daily living, engaging visualization exercises, and affirmations designed to elevate your consciousness – tools you can immediately apply to modify your circumstances. Each week, I will give a brief lesson overview. Rev. Ike's Affirmative treatment for that lesson, practicable, actionable points for you, and some review questions as a point of reflection. Say the affirmative right out loud before you go to sleep. This will help to reinforce these positive ideas in your subconscious mind. And also end the day on a positive note. When you wake up in the morning, re-read the Affirmative treatment once again and say it out loud to start the day positively.

Lesson Overview:

Brief Summary: In Chapter 33 of Rev. Ike's Science of Living Study Guide, we delve into the profound impact of the ideas we feed our minds. Your subconscious mind accepts whatever you present—positive or negative—and manifests these ideas in your life. This means everything in your experience reflects the thoughts and beliefs that dominate your mind. Just as feeding your body with healthy food leads to physical well-being, feeding your mind with the right ideas leads to a life of success, happiness, and abundance. It's essential to be intentional about the thoughts you nurture, especially during crucial times like when you wake up and before you go to bed.

Your Mind is Your Garden

Imagine your mind as a garden. Whatever seeds you plant in it—whether weeds or flowers—will grow and flourish. The ideas, thoughts, and beliefs you feed your subconscious mind are like seeds; your life is the garden that reflects what has been planted.

Rev. Ike teaches us that many people don't realize that their lives directly reflect the ideas they consistently nurture in their minds. You must start by feeding your mind the right ideas to change your life.

The Power of Positive Feeding

Your subconscious mind is always working, even when you're not consciously aware of it. It accepts whatever you feed it, whether these are thoughts of abundance or scarcity, love or fear, success or failure. This is why it's crucial to be intentional about the ideas you allow into your mind.

Twittable Quote:

"Your life reflects the thoughts you feed your mind.

Nourish it with positivity, and watch your reality transform.

Affirmative Treatment:

  • "I now feed my mind with the idea of Health. I mentally and spiritually feast upon the idea of health. I feed upon the idea that God in me is my health. And this Divine Idea keeps me healthy!
  • I now feed my mind with the idea of Happiness. I turn to the Presence and Power of God within me, and I AM full of the idea of happiness. My happiness is overflowing as I spread it around.
  • I now feed my mind with the idea of Love. God in me loves me. The Love of God operating through me draws all the right people into my experience for every right purpose. I AM enjoying the love, friendshio, companionship and romance of life.
  • I now feed my mind with the idea of Success and Prosperity. The Presence and power of God in me give me every reason to be successful! I AM continually led and guided into new feasts of success and prosperity!
  • I now feed my mind with the correct idea of Money. The correct Money-idea in my mind draws money to me in new exciting way. I AM enjoying lots and lots of money in right order.

Thank you, Father; Thank you, God in me!"

Practical Actionable Points:

  1. Morning Mind Diet: Your day begins with your thoughts. What you think about first thing in the morning sets the tone for the rest of your day. Start your day by feeding your mind with positive affirmations, uplifting readings, or gratitude. This primes your subconscious mind to expect and create positive outcomes throughout the day.
  2. Nighttime Affirmations: Just as the morning is crucial, so is the time before bed. What you think about before you fall asleep has a powerful impact on your subconscious mind because it processes these thoughts throughout the night. End your day with affirmations, meditation, or visualizing your goals. This helps program your mind for success while you sleep.
  3. Monitor and Replace: It's not enough to feed your mind the right ideas in the morning and at night. Throughout the day, be vigilant about your thoughts. If you notice negative or limiting beliefs creeping in, consciously replace them with positive affirmations. Over time, this will become a natural habit.
  4. Create a Positive Environment: Your surroundings significantly influence your thoughts. Surround yourself with positive influences—the books you read, the music you listen to, or the people you spend time with. Maintaining a positive mental diet becomes easier when your environment supports positive thinking.
  5. Consistency is Key: Just as you wouldn't expect to stay healthy by eating one healthy meal, you can't expect your mind to stay positive with just one positive thought. Consistently feed your mind with uplifting ideas throughout the day. The more you do this, the more your life will reflect the goodness you desire.

Review Questions:

  1. What kind of ideas are you feeding your mind daily?
  2. How can you improve your morning and nighttime routines to nourish your subconscious mind?
  3. Are there negative thoughts you often entertain? How can you replace them with positive ones?
  4. What changes can you make in your environment to support more positive thinking?
  5. How can you make feeding your mind the right ideas a consistent habit?

Tips:

Removing negative ideas (newscasts, Twitter feeds, and so on) is equally as important as feeding good ideas. Your life and your mental health will thank you for it.

Conclusion

Chapter 33 of Rev. Ike's Science of Living reminds us that the quality of our lives is directly related to the quality of thoughts we feed our minds. By being intentional about the ideas you allow into your subconscious, you can transform your life into one of abundance, happiness, and success. Remember, your mind is a garden—feed it right, and it will bloom beautifully.
