Relaxing even for or just 5 minutes can recharge us and give us the energy we need to tackle well, almost anything, some stress is necessary. However, too much and for too long can be damaging. Stress can affect our physical, mental and emotional wellbeing. Some stress is necessary. However, too much and too long can be damaging and affect our mental state and emotional state. And this can exacerbate all those negative thoughts that are running wild in our head.

“Sometimes the most productive thing you can do is relax” - Mark Black.

We can't avoid stress totally, but we can learn to manage it. Relaxation is one of the KEY to managing stress. When we relax, we have more energy, and we are calmer, clearer and overall more positive. And this, in turn, helps with feeling better about ourselves and being our best self. Now, whatever you choose, refreshing throughout the day with 5 minutes breaks or for full days (like the weekend), here are a few techniques that can help:
  • Long deep breaths
  • Meditation
  • Visualisation – imagine a relaxing place and focus on the details.
  • A nice walk outside, no matter the weather (connect with your surroundings and nature
  • self-care

So, this weekend, look after yourself: rest, relax and recharge and remember to have some fun too :-)

See you tomorrow x Change starts from within. That's why training your consciousness should be your Priority Numero 1 - a daily practice to silence your inner critic.
