Hello there, it’s Day 5 of 7 Day to Self-appreciation: how are you feeling today? indeed, it was a trick: by the nature of this challenge, I’d only expect to hear an “amazing” in return ? . Change is inevitable; actually change is the only constant we have in life.SO WHAT?
You can’t control life, you cant control negative things happening around you. But you can control what they MEAN to you and what YOU are going to do about it. Life is happening FOR you, not against you. Everything that happens can be an opportunity to grow and learn. We talked about last week how the largest amount of millionaires in the U.S. was created during the Great Depression. And, in more recent times ( like NOW) during COVID, many businesses have re-invented themselves and thrived. We also looked at other people dealt with their life challenges, like Bethany Hamilton or Kris Carr. I know, I'm being repetitive again. It is on purpose. So it can sink in and become part of you (and me - self-influencing too). So, on Day 5 of 7 Day to Self-appreciation say “so what?” Look purposely to unexpected/unwanted things happening around you and, after dumping the c*** and taking a breath, ask yourself:- What amazing opportunity can I turn this into?
- Can I gain a new skill from this situation?
- What can I experience that I wouldn't have otherwise?
- How can this event/situation make me a better person?
