Hello there, and welcome back on this never-ending journey to Be-Your-Best-Self. Yes, it is a journey and not a destination. As human beings, we evolve and therefore our needs and wants and skills evolve with us. And so the version of our Best Self. And if one day it looks like we stalled in our quest, we haven't ruined everything - it is only one day! Little by little, brick by brick, we are creating our Best Selves. We talked about how, in the beginning, we need to put more attention/focus and by changing one little thing at a time we develop our brain neuroplasticity and new neuropathways. So where can we start?

JUST LISTEN

The world around us is a reflection of our inner conversations - our self-image ( yes, you have heard me say this before and I'll say it again). For example, If we want people to listen to us more, we need to become better listeners. Easier said than done you might say. Well, you can start with resisting the urge to give advice to people when they tell you something (their point of view, story, problem). Or make suggestions. JUST LISTEN. Ask questions to better understand. Then paraphrase back to ensure you understood. nd don't feel you need to fill in the silence. Let them reflect, answer, and tell their story. It is just one little thing that can go a long way ... See you tomorrow x
