Hello again. After reading through some of your requests for topics, I can see a concurrent theme so far on some of them e.g. holiday time. More specifically two facets:
  1. I am on holiday how can I continue with my daily habits in different surroundings and with other people with me?
  2. I am on holiday - do I need to continue with my daily habits?
I will tackle the "do I need to continue with my daily habits" part tomorrow; stay tuned. in regards to how you continue with your daily habits, I say firstly, be flexible. Secondly, you can if you want to. Even from your sun lounger. That's right. Let's look at some habits that you might like to continue:
  • meditation
  • scripting/morning pages.
  • self-concept ( I'll throw it in there, as I have been talking about it for ages).
Let's tackled them one by one.

MEDITATION - ON THE SUN LOUNGER

Meditation is the ability to focus on the present moment and empty your mind. it can be done at any time, in any circumstances. Heck, you can do this whilst you sit on the umber 73 bus on your way home. Are you on a sun lounger sunbathing? Well, you can do it then. If only for ten minutes. You can do it while you are swimming. Just empty your mind. If you do mantra meditation, you can repeat the same words over and over in your head. If you prefer guided mediation, put your headphones on and pretend you're listening to music. You get my drift.

SCRIPTING/MORNING PAGES

Morning pages are nothing but an outpouring of consciousness on a page. Free-flowing thoughts that bother you pass through your mind, which you capture without filtering. Well, get a magazine, get a pen and put your sheets of paper inside ut. Pretend you are doing the crosswords. I am not advocating lying. but you get my drift. This is when being flexible comes in handy. Pick the habit that you find more useful/satisfying and stick to that one. Or use them as a menu that you choose from, depending on your mood or what is more convenient.

SELF-CONCEPT

Really? You can't escape this one. You take you wherever you go. So work on the version of you you want to be for yourself concerning
  • Have a good time ( you are on holiday, right?)
  • Family, friends, lover ( I'm assuming you are on holiday with one of these)
  • Spending time alone (if you are on a solo vacation).
Focus your thoughts on who you want to be. That is your self-concept. So you are working on this facet of your self-concept/image. See is not that complicated, and yes, it can be done from your sun lounger ... I'll leave you with that, and I'll see you tomorrow x #BeYourBestSelf #SelfTalk #Followme on Twitter and Instagram
