Hello everyone and welcome back! It is a brand-new month, and with it, new goals, new challenges, and new objectives. December, for me, is a moment to connect, to live, to rebuild, and to re-evaluate my life. It is the last month of the year, and the perfect time for some self-reflection. December, though, is about more than just you and your journey. It is a month for companionship, and I don’t just mean lovers or family members. No, what I mean is that this month is for friends, family, and community. With festivities throughout this month being for various reasons. Whether it be the end of the year, religious ceremonies, or even just a time to unwind and relax following a ceiling-smashing year, we all have some reason to treat ourselves. Of course, December is not without its issues, so tread with caution where need be.

December troubleshooting

Sometimes, we can’t help but hate the festive season, and that is okay. HuffPost released an article a couple of years ago regarding exactly this; you can read about it here. We all have our own experiences and sometimes, those experiences can leave a sour taste behind. However, while Christmas dawns, we should look at our situation and query whether it is beneficial for our growth and our climb as we continue onwards and upwards to smash that ceiling. When it comes to the end of the year, we have ample opportunities to improve our state – and while some situations deserve no apology, we must look at what we are feeling and why, before we cut any ties with friends or family. And hey, if they deserve to be cut off after really considering the situation, and there isn’t anything that they can do to help you grow, then you shouldn’t feel guilty about that. However, I must advocate for you to surround yourself with positive influences, and sometimes, forgiveness can be a step in the right direction. I promise to further unpack this conversation within the month, but for now, I will leave you with this to think about – who are you going to invite to your Christmas table, and why? Just thinking about that answer may shock you. Until next time x
