Hello there, and welcome back to the countdown to Christmas Day 3, Be Your Best Christmas Self.

"Christmas is most truly Christmas when we celebrate it by giving the light of love to those who need it most." - Ruth Carter Stapleton.

Isn't that what Christmas is all about? We shouldn't forget, behind all the glitz and commercialism, the celebration, that Christmas is the gift of love. And you can give that every day of the year. So share some love. Volunteer to some worthy cause of your choice. I know, I know, you haven't got the time. What about helping your elderly neighbour instead? Or go to your local church ( or synagogue or mosque you choose) and ask what you can do to help. Believe me, there is always someone worse off than you are. Self-care tip: Start a Christmas journal. You can write about anything you'd like: what Christmas ( or the holiday/season) means to you. You could write about your feelings or everything you are grateful for. Or record what happens every day, your memories of this time of the year. Writing reduces stress and, believe it or not, helps to improve memory. See you tomorrow x Countdown to Christmas: embracing old traditions and discovering new ways to bring the magic alive. Finding something in the Spirit of Christmas to make each day and ourselves better every day. #BeYourBestChristmas daily quotes to inspire/motivate, encourage, or just put you in a good mood and self-care quick tips. #SelfShorts #Followme on Twitter and Instagram. My new book, The Nine Lives of Gabrielle, is available for pre-order now.
