ThePeopleAlchemist Edit: Summer in the City - A Lifestyle Edit
Normally this is the time of the year when I enjoy blue skies and warm sunshine usually by a clear blue sea, perhaps a private beach. I am writing this however on a Saturday evening whilst a few rays of sun filter through my windows; yes the sun is shining and my mind is exploring how to make the best of Summer in the City: things to do, places to go, where to eat ( with outside space), new corners to explore together with some lifestyle, culture, fashion and beauty hacks ( I am not a big beauty buff but I am a girl and like my stuff simple and easy ).summer in the city
I believe in empowering and strengthening people and especially my fellow women in business through a healthy work and personal life - the power of people, places, and things to do.
A successful person will achieve their goals through a healthy personal life and, throughout the month of June, I'm aiming to take you through a journey to inform you and inspire you starting with showcasing every week different ways to enjoy summer in the city: art, culture, food, music, things to do, palaces to see.
I can not talk enough about my beloved Islington and everything it has to offer but also things to do around the capital, did I say I love love love London?
A couple of suggestions to start with:
The Camden Head, a traditional pub in a Grade II listed building and a nice beer garden where you can enjoy the sunshine and watching people go by whilst enjoying a nice pint.
The Camden Head is also London's only FREE professional comedy club, 7 nights a week with regular TV headliners (TimeOut).
Pistachio & Pickle Dairy, best of British and international artisan cheeses, pickles and bread.
All Points East, in Victoria Park, Hackney - an eclectic 10-day festival where the opening and closing three-day weekends are given over to music, and in between, four days of community-driven entertainment.
Movies on the River - if you are a movie buff or if you just like a nice boat ride whilst enjoying a nice movie this is for you. Movies on the River offer five nights a week a sunset cruise through the city followed by a movie on boat's top deck after dark. Fancy, non?
