The Road To Success Is Like Climbing A Mountain: You Need To Acclimatise With Each Climb Before The Final Summit Bid - Motivation Monday.
Last Monday, we talked about fitting thinking to our true size and as big as we really are ( "You Are Bigger Than You Think. Fit Your Thinking To Your True Size. Think As Big As You Really Are", said David Schwartz PhD - Think Bigger, No Bigger - BIGGER!!!).
Once the vision and the ultimate goal is there, though, we need to plan its achievement and, if I may, let's use climbing a mountain as an analogy (let's go for Everest, why not?); we can't jump from the base to the top.
We first need to trek in (hey, we need to get at the bottom of the mountain first) and get to base camp. Then we can start the acclimatisation climbs to each camp - until the final push: the summit bid ( forgive me the poetic licence real mountaineers, I'm just using the analogy for illustrating my point).
The same applies to climb the ladder of success:
- each goal attainable but stretching us a little further out of our comfort zone
- every dream/camp with a list of goals underneath
- each dream/camp with a timeline
