It's Not About The Money - It's All About The Customer - But They Have To Find You First: What's Your Strategy Then? That's Right, It's #TechTuesday - #BusinessTips For #FemaleFounders, my so-called #TheWomanAlchemist. Last week we talked about What's The Point Of Your Website? To Convert Your Visitors Into Leads. End Of Story. To convert visitors though you need to have a strategy that outlines the:

#howto drive the traffic to your site

If you take as example a brick and mortar store, if you have a shop that is hard to find, you probably won't have much trade. On the other hand, if you have a store in a highly frequented area, like a high street, a high footfall means far more chances to do business (sales, sales, sales - it's a numbers' game).

It’s all about the customer

Without a clear marketing strategy, there is likely to be little or no traffic to your site (= little or no customers): a strategy that drives traffic = more business and, ultimately, a sustainable one. However, one essential thing to do is to work out the cost to drive that traffic and its sustainability: if you sell a product for less that it takes to drive the traffic (let's say a £ 10 product but a £ 15 cost to drive someone to the site), you are at a loss and cannot make it like this, plain and simple (yes, for all the bloggers out there it would look good to have the visitors, but you won't have any conversions). And especially if the purpose of 'setting shop' is to give up the 9-5 and replacing the income with the online business, then this is a must (I'm learning this myself and pivoting, pivoting ....) So, what is your strategy going to be? And how much how are you going to spend to drive traffic to your biz and will that be sustainable in the long run? Always remember: it’s all about the customer.
