ThePeopleAlchemist Edit: book review - The One Minute Apology
The One Minute Apology is an engaging parable that delivers one of Blanchard's essential management principles: The Apology. The other principles are Goal Setting, Praising and Reprimanding. It is a step-by-step guide on how to accept responsibility for own errors. And deal with the cause of the damage caused while maintaining a sense of own integrity.
The One Minute Apology offers anybody - but particularly useful in a work environment - a way of approaching one of life's dilemmas: how to admit and accept that we have made a wrong decision. And how to correct it by making a meaningful apology. I stress the word meaningful - just sorry won't do.
The book can be read quickly and is quite simple, but the techniques described and the message will undoubtedly resonate and have significant results both in a work environment and at home.
I would suggest to practice, practice and then practice some more.
You can then become the master of the one-minute apology whilst keeping your integrity, friends and colleagues and learning from your mistakes.
Doesn't it sound great? You're welcome!
Told you. No need for more fancy stuff when simple and easy will do.
