They Say When Opportunity Knocks, You Should Let It In And Invite It To Sit At The Table. F*ck That - When Opportunity Knocks, You Should Take It Captive. I've Got Opportunity Tied To A Chair In My Basement With A Ball Gag In Its Mouth. If You Keep Quiet, You'll Hear It Whining" - Tracy Morgan. The Art & Soul Reloaded work debunking the many myths about creativity continues. After Myth 1: To Make Art, You Need Money, Myth 2: To Make Art, You Need The Approval Of A Publisher, Recording Company, An Art Gallery, etc. and Myth 3: Doing Art Isn't A Real Job we are now at Myth 4: Real Artist Learn In Art School. This week is another OMG for me: I've talked about last week how, after developing the concept for my book (and publishing it) whilst continuing writing a blog, I stalled. Yes, I have been pivoting with my blog, but I still in my ears the so familiar voice keeps on shouting at me: "What makes you think people should give a sh*t about your writing?".

ART & SOUL CHAPTER 26 - NO NEED FOR SCHOOL

This week Grout says (quoting from week 26 chapter): "It's a scar across our collective soul that huge swathes of people, in Europe and North America in particular, spend their entire working lives performing tasks they secretly believe do not really need to be performed, The moral and spiritual damage that comes from the situation is profound" - David Graeber." "I am happy to announce - says Grout - that the prison gates are now officially open...... Thanks to the democratization of digital technology, anyone who wants to can follow their dreams. The tools are now available for us to be innovators, artists, inventors, creators. We live in a time when one person writing at the coffee shop on the computer can reach millions. We live in an era when anyone who wants has leverage and a platform.". This is very much in tune with Tim Ferriss in The 4-Hour Work Week, another of my favourite author and inspiration. I have been re-looking at this lately and how to transition into a full time creative and, amazingly, the exercise to practice this week (as this is a year-long apprenticeship, not just readership) is to, guess what? Generate ten businesses you could start from home - stretching the idea muscles. I think the Universe is trying to tell me something... Real artists are made of, with doing. #youcreateyourownreality #lifestyledesign #lifestyleedit #followme #like #share Business & Lifestyle Experimentation Blog for #TheWomanAlchemist #SmashYourCeiling #Sundayreads
