True artists; who are they? "I Was Always Thinking, Always Writing. Always Sensing Something In The Soil That's About To Emerge", said Lin-Manuel Miranda. The Art & Soul Reloaded work debunking the many myths about creativity continues. So the first four myths tackled were:
  • To Make Art, You Need Money - Myth 1.
  • And To Make Art, You Need The Approval Of A Publisher, Recording Company, An Art Gallery, etc. and - Myth 2.
  • Doing Art Isn't A Real Job - Myth 3.
  • Real Artist Learn In Art School - Myth 4.
And we are now at Myth 5: True Artists Are Geniuses - Or Are They? I didn't write last Sunday. It was a Bank Holiday weekend. But I thoroughly enjoyed some time off doing absolutely nothing. And that is all that matters ;-). In week 26, the exercise was to generate ten businesses that could be started from home. So, yes, I did look into it. And I have started working on several project ideas. Just saying. This week the myth to dispel is that artists (and I mean 'real' ones) are geniuses. The concept is: we all are. Creativity flows directly out of intuition. Genius, after all, is 'the ability to operate out of one's undiluted intuition in a particular area' - Lawrence Block. True artists are geniuses. But we are all geniuses at something; we have to get out of our way and let it flow. What can I say? Some weeks don't require too many words. #youcreateyourownreality #lifestyledesign #lifestyleedit #followme #like #share Business & Lifestyle Experimentation Blog for #TheWomanAlchemist #SmashYourCeiling #Sundayreads
