write for your life day 5

Affirmation of the day From Write For Your Life by Lawrence Block : Everything I Write Is Highly Pleasing To Me -Killing Self-Doubt Once And For All is The First Step To Success

ThePeopleAlchemist Edit: 30 days to a more powerful self-image - get rid of your self-doubt ...

Write for Your life Day 5 - Everything I Write Is Highly Pleasing To Me. Self-doubt or The Little Editor on your shoulder (like Lawrence Block calls it) is that insidious saboteur who critiques everything you do and puts those negative thoughts and beliefs about yourself in your head and stops you from doing what you want, what you really really want more than any external forces (societal, family, religious paradigms, you name it): nothing is more powerful than what you say to yourself about yourself. So writing affirmations daily, and learning to appreciate your output is a great step to reprogram the mind and kill self-doubt. Again this is applicable to writing and to any other activity/job you might want to do. Affirmations and my Boogie-Woogie morning activity (from E-Cubed by Pam Grout) are definitely putting a skip in my step. From a writing perspective, I also found free writing very useful: I used it before to write/get going with writing my book and it is liberating to just pour your heart and soul into paper without thinking. (The Affirmation and the free writing tip are from Write for Your Life - The Home Seminar For Writers by Lawrence Block - have you got it yet? Try it!). So, when self-doubt arises, remember:
Yes, you are good enough. Yes, your work is good enough. Now get on with it!!! Write for Your Life Day 5 over.
