Remember that this point is not just for Valentine’s Day but for whenever you feel like sharing your love. You shouldn’t celebrate any relationship just one day a year.

Hello everyone, and welcome back! Happy Valentine’s Day! Yes, this day is all about love, and while I’m not going to delve into the story of Saint Valentine, I will, instead, speak to the current story of your life. You may have noticed that I have focused on loving life for this month, and our theme is even more relevant today. If there were any day to focus on loving yourself first before looking for love with other people, then this would be the one. For 2022, let’s make this day of love all about loving life itself. Allow this to be a part of your thoughts and your actions. But how does one go about loving life in thought and action? Please, read on.

Three ways to love your life and self with your entire being this Valentine's Day

  1. You may be spending some time with a significant other but arrange to spend quality time with your friends and family.
Remember that this point is not just for Valentine’s Day but for whenever you feel like sharing your love. You shouldn’t celebrate any relationship just one day a year. Also, your support structures are vital to your success, and having the right people in your corner is, undoubtedly, a privilege. So, share your love freely and openly with them. 2. Next, be sure to treat yourself. This is easier said than done, so be mindful in your approach here. Unplug from the world, meditate, do yoga, read a few chapters of your favourite book, or take that extra-long bath with scented oils, candles, and petals. Think of something that makes you smile and do it. Loving life begins with loving yourself. Beyond building self-resilience, we tend to appreciate and love our lives a lot more when we see the other side and when we count our blessings. You can read more about what giving back does for you and your mental health here. As you know, everything begins with you. The foundation to any relationship starts with you having a relationship, intimacy, and love with yourself first. People around you are your reflection, after all. I wish you a loving Valentine’s Day, and again, I remind you here to please begin by loving yourself! Until next time x
