The average person spends almost 2 hours per day, looking at their favourite social media sites and apps. With the various lockdowns and fewer opportunities to socialise in person, this number has increased further. This amount of time is not exactly supportive of and enabling good mental health and/or self-esteem. The continuous comparison with the "greener grass" erodes, slowly but surely, contentment and appreciation for what is good in our life. We all need a break from having our lives judged and commented on (often by strangers who don't count). Detaching from social media is beneficial and actually recommended. I have done social media detox several times, one very recently and nd it changed my life for the better. My productivity, attention span and clarity increased significantly. I broke terrible habits (refreshing feeds and checking notifications). And, most importantly, I felt freer and happier without social media dictating my life. And we are now on a quest to become our Best Self and learn to love ourselves, aren't we? Perfect activity then ... Try it and thank me later. See you tomorrow x Change starts from within, that's why training your consciousness should be your Priority Numero 1 - a daily practice to silence your inner critic.
