Hello again, and Happy Monday! We closed last week with a talk about being the Best Human BEING Self and, yes, sharing the love and saving a life. Yep, that's right! And nothing as involved as joining the Peace Corp or similar but much easier to do. Donating blood. Did you know that you have the power to save up to three lives right now? Imagine that, THREE lives. Today, I wanted to talk about something similarly as easy to do that can have a significant impact: sharing food.

SHARE SOME FOOD

Yep, that's right! I am not talking about sitting down with family and friends and sharing a good meal here, which is good for building relationships obviously. Nope, I'm talking about sharing a portion of food with a stranger. I'm not asking you to invite the first person you meet in the street home to be clear. I'm just saying we are all guilty of overcooking and overbuying food, which, the majority of the time, goes to waste. Yes, you can always freeze it and eat it later ( how many of you do that? I know I don't always). But you could also donate your excessive food ( or food that has a near expiry date) from your pantry to food banks or use the latest app, Olio ( yes, there is an app for this too), to list your leftovers ( or soon to go off ingredients) for a neighbour to collect and enjoy. This is a UK service, but I'm sure there is something similar in other countries too. Google it! It is good for everyone. For you, for others, for the planet. See you tomorrow x #BeYourBestHumanSelf #Sharefood
