No Negative Thoughts Allowed Day 2 of 7 Day the challenge. How did you do yesterday then? I know it is more difficult than you imagined. Give yourself some slack here. You have been running this "program" (self-criticism, inner critic bitching) for a lifetime. So on Day 1, we looked at The Monkey Mind Exercise A.K.A. outpouring streams of consciousness/all the crap from your mind onto a page (or more). And then performing a ritual to acknowledge that you are in control and got rid of your negative thoughts. The problem though is that negative thoughts show up in your life. From other people. Ideally, you would do this challenge in a week when you don't have to meet anybody (work/socially etc.). This is not always possible (sometimes the negative people in your life are your loved ones) and we will address this in the next few days. But you can do something about other external factors: the media and the news.

NO MORE NEWS

No more media and no more news. That's right, turn off your television, stop scrolling through your phone and social media, or buying newspapers (I can almost feel the pain of withdrawal coming from you right now). Let's face it, you are not going to find good news in the news. And social media is just going to enhance those feelings of not being (good) enough, that your life is not as good as other people's etc. etc. And believe me, you can survive without the news and social media. You might even enjoy it ;-). So STOP negative programming going into your mind in the first place. Sounds simple, not necessarily easy. Try it for this week. Ok, Day 2 of 7 Day Challenge talk over, see you tomorrow for Day 3 x
