Hi everyone, welcome back! Knocked down and can’t seem to get up? Do you feel like you’ve failed in some way? Did you know that most New Year’s resolutions fail within the first month? As we approach the end of January, I wanted to check in here with regards to your plans and whether they’ve changed, whether you’ve stumbled, or perhaps, whether you’ve just decided to throw in the towel and give up. Understandably, sticking to our goals can be difficult, and that is why you need that laser focus and that big ‘why’ to keep you on track. This is also the reason why I said from the beginning of this year that you should not be making any resolutions, but instead, to make promises to yourself that you will succeed, you will conquer, and you will fly. Even now, that advice holds when keeping up your progress can feel like an uphill battle. Business Insider unpacked five reasons why resolutions fail, which you can read here. In that same article, the very first point, ‘not ready to change’, is something I’ve spoken about at length. You’ll also see the need for self-discipline and planning, all of which are essential in keeping up with your progress.

Get up!

You’ve stumbled, and you lost track of your mission, so what? What’s stopping you from getting back up and trying again? Has your vision for your future changed? I don’t think it has, and neither do you. You want that success; you need that happiness; you demand that lifestyle, so breathe it into your reality and push this minor setback aside and get back on track. Get up! Only you can decide when enough is enough. The very fact that you’re reading this right now means that you still have more to give, more room to grow, and more to do. Revisit what it means to make a promise to yourself and remember that your word is your law. Your reason for success is your mission. And your vision is your result. It is in your hands. I can’t smash your ceiling for you – no, that is for you to do. I believe in you. You should believe in YOU, too. Until next time x
