ThePeopleAlchemist Edit: Chances - Be your best self - #SmashYourCeiling, change starts from within -Business & Lifestyle Experimentation for #TheWomanAlchemist

Hello everyone, and welcome back. We're close to the end of this month, and with it, I would like to talk about chances and changes before we delve into celebrations. Yes, you read right, celebrations. By now, you already know that change starts within. However, for change to stand a chance, you must acknowledge and create mental space for the possibilities and the chance for change to occur. In our last blog, we discussed your direction and that it is often dependent on inspiration or desperation [L. However, regardless of how desperate you are, change won't happen if you don't even give it a chance. Setting so-called ‘unrealistic expectations’ is the only way to make success stick. Beyond smashing your ceiling, you should aim for the moon, and even if you miss, you’ll at least end among the stars! Remember that! You’ll never know just how far you can go without trying, without taking the chance that comes with that moment of change. Change isn't easy. Change requires discipline, and it is through consistency that you breed success. Forbes has a fantastic article about cultivating discipline that you can read here.

Chances & Celebrations

You've made it this far, you've survived two years of the pandemic, and you've embraced new ways of working. These statements testify there's more to you than meets the eye. This proves that you’re capable of so much more. If I had to tell you in 2019 that in just over two years, you would survive a global pandemic and go through an entire paradigm shift, I am certain that you wouldn’t have believed me. Now that you’ve overcome these years, in retrospect, it may not look as bad. So, celebrate how far you've come, and of course, how much further you wish to go. Often, we take chances on the most significant changes in our lives, and when we fail, we are hard on ourselves. However, the trick here is to celebrate the little victories along the way to our larger ones. And, as we become comfortable with patting ourselves on the back, we will be at ease with pushing ourselves further still. By celebrating our changes and making them a habit, we begin to see more chances available to us for bigger and better changes that are yet to come. It is then, amongst a list of other achievements, that you'll smash your ceiling. Until next time x
