Hello again, and welcome the #SmashYourCeiling: Be Your Best Self Around The Year. 365 daily inspiration to silence your inner critic and unleash the power that is within you.FEED YOUR MIND DAY 52 - READING EXTRACT
"When you are praying or 'treating' about a particular thing, you should handle it, mentally, very carefully indeed. The ideal way is not to think about it at all except when you are actually praying about it. Moreover, to talk to other people about it, it is exceedingly likely to invite failure. Whenever you think about any subject, you are treating t with your thought - eighter for good or evil."I'm going to start with a tiny disclaimer: Emmet Fox lived in the last century (1886-1951), and so, sometimes, the extract from his books ( and this one we are reading together) may sound old-fashioned. The important things to focus is the concepts and lessons rather than the language. Disclaimer over. Your thoughts create, and here, Fox talks about not focusing constantly on negative language and problems. Firstly, you are unlikely to be able to think about a solution from a mind absorbed in the problem. Secondly, what you focus on amplifies. Which means more problems. Quarantine your thoughts. See you tomorrow x
